Gardener & OT in Training

About Me

My passion for gardening began in 2009 with my very first job at a garden centre. I loved learning about different plant varieties and offering customers advice on seasonal plants and colour combinations throughout the year. I often found myself rescuing plants that were destined for the skip because they were considered “unsellable” — bringing them home and giving them a new lease of life.

I’ve always had a natural desire to care — not only for plants but for people too.

In 2022, I worked as a care and support worker in the community and I thoroughly enjoyed supporting individuals in their homes, always with a focus on compassion, dignity and independence. In 2024, I worked for an organisation supporting individuals with learning disabilities, where I developed valuable leadership and teamwork skills.

Fast forward to 2025, and I am now a fully qualified Occupational Therapist, whilst also continuing to develop my knowledge through leisure gardening and caring for a joyful family.

My favourite pastimes include countryside walks with my family, gardening with my children at the allotment and capturing nature through photography.

My dream is to become a therapeutic gardener, offering holistic, person-centred care to promote autonomy, well-being and connection through nature.

I’m excited to continue this journey and look forward to sharing it with you all.
